Ellesmere is a family run home from home style B&B where people can rest their heads, eat and sleep. It is a large Victorian three-floored semi with four bedrooms on the edge of the bustling Somerset market town Castle Cary - a popular destination for visitors wanting to explore the delights of Somerset. The room rate is per room. Some of the rooms overlook Glastonbury Tor. We have guests from all over the world who enjoy our friendly, welcoming hospitality. A sumptuous breakfast is laid on in a communal kitchen. Breakfast is cooked on an Aga. There are plenty of cereals including home-made granola and muesli, and oodles of condiments including home-made jam and marmalade. Eggs come from a local smallholding and we buy bread in on a daily basis. We do a Continental breakfast with croissants and fruit, also a voluptuous English cooked breakfast. We are big foodies and will lay on supper on request. In Winters fire are lit in the kitchen and drawing room. Each of our bedrooms is a decent size with one double being a super king. The top floor is ideal for families. There are three rooms there. The first floor bedroom is ensuite and has fantastic views of the garden and the hills beyond where there are superb walks to be had. In summer months guests can eat outside or simply enjoy a cup of tea and cakes. We look forward to having you to stay. For further information see ellesmerehouse [dot] co.
